This compline service in the Trinity Episcopal sanctuary is led by the Rev. Sarah Thomas. It is made of thirty minutes of rest and reflection through sound by DJ artist, Andrew Elia, then a transition with tea, then the opportunity to hear a person share a personal story understood as the sacred text that is our bodies moving through the world. Trinity Episcopal Church is an open and affirming community that celebrates queerness and self-expression. Compline with Story and Sound is 7p-8p the Sunday evening that follows the workshops. Compline happens in the sanctuary at Trinity Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara, CA. Incense and candle light are used during the service. |
