Compline is a monastic service. It's the last gathering of the day before silence is kept for the duration of the night until morning.

Trinity Episcopal on State Street
with story by Rabbi Deborah Lewis
Compline with Story and Sound is an opportunity to seek integration between myth-making and ancient christian religious tradition. If you are curious and/or open to christian practices, you are welcome.
This compline service in the Trinity Episcopal sanctuary is led by the Rev. Sarah Thomas. It is made of thirty minutes of rest and reflection through sound by DJ artist, Andrew Elia, then a transition with tea, then the opportunity to hear a person share a personal story understood as the sacred text that is our bodies moving through the world.
Trinity Episcopal Church is an open and affirming community that celebrates queerness and self-expression.
Compline with Story and Sound is 7p-8p the Sunday evening that follows the workshops. Compline happens in the sanctuary at Trinity Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara, CA. Incense and candle light are used during the service.
*Please note: All participants must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and bring proof of vaccination to compline.
