Who Knows What You Are is a creation myth making project at the intersection of story, performance, music, symbols and religion. The project invites people to explore the story they’re currently in and to create myths to help ask the question, Why are things the way they are? Our hunch is that the answer is, Who knows, but we believe that the question is still worth asking and that you have the creative power to express it.

The project invites you to ask questions through creative myth making workshops led by local artists, compline services in the Episcopal tradition, and attending the premiere of live experimental performance.

Who Knows What You Are is based in Santa Barbara, CA.

Who Knows What You Are is created and produced by Diana Small with the support of the 787 Collective at Austin Seminary, Trinity Episcopal Church and the Community Arts Workshop.

Diana Small writes for theater, film, and song and directs for performance. She has a MFA in Writing from the Michener Center for Writers at UT Austin and a MDiv from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She makes comedic work that explores the body, religion, death and change. Diana finds the myths of her childhood unhelpful in explaining who knows what she is, so, she makes up new ones. dianalynnsmall.com
